Dear friends, family and loved ones,
I find myself writing to you from a little coffee shop
in the middle of nowhere, Montana. I can
hardly believe that I am here, back in the United States, after over seven
months away. It has been an incredible journey. I have learned so much and have
grown in ways I never thought possible. I found, during my DTS, a peace that I
had never experienced before and joy unlike anything I’d ever known. I guess
that’s what happens when you surrender-when you put yourself in the center of
God’s will for your life. Looking back I see how God orchestrated every step,
how He planned the last three years of my life to lead me to the point where I
am now. I am so grateful for God’s divine intervention and perfect timing.
With that being said, I have made the exciting decision
to return to Germany as full-time staff with Youth with a Mission. I am
incredibly happy about this opportunity and the doors that have opened for me
to get connected with the Herrnhut base. I found during my DTS an incredible
community of passionate, creative people that became like family to me during
my time there. It is without hesitation or doubt that I make a two year
commitment to the base and begin my life in full-time missions.
I am so excited to be able to speak with you
personally about what I experienced while in Germany and on outreach in Kenya
and to share about my future plans with YWAM. I will be spending the months of
May and June in Indiana, where I hope to be able to connect with many of you. I
realize, however, that some of you aren’t in that area. I would love to talk on
the phone or over Skype with you. Please feel free to email me to set up a time
when we can chat. For those of you that will be in the area, I am planning an
event for some time in May where I can get together with my supporters and
share. More details to come!
I would again like to express my gratitude to you all.
The words of encouragement I received, the prayers that I could feel-those
things were a huge part of my journey. Each one of you has played a part in
supporting me over the past seven months, and I am forever grateful for that.
There is so much I could say to those of you who have known me all of my life.
You have seen me through so many things. You have seen the struggles that I
faced and the times of confusion and doubt. I am so incredibly happy that you
can now share with me the victory that I have found in Jesus, the freedom I
have found in surrender and the fullness of life that I have discovered in
seeking God’s will. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for sticking with me. Thank
you for walking along side me and praying for me and for never giving up on me.
God bless you for loving me in a way that has shown me
God’s love.
Jenna
P.S. While in Indiana, I will need to make money to
live on, in whatever way possible. If you have any odd jobs that you need done
or children that need a sitter, or if you know of anyone who fits in those categories,
please let me know! My schedule is pretty wide open at this point, and I am
willing to do just about anything!
